The components of the steel structure workshop
1. Embedded elements (stabilize the primary frame)
It divided into embedded bolt connection and plug-in cup mouth connection. Commonly connection method in general steel workshop building is mainly embedded bolt connections. Such as hinge connection and rigid connection.
The shape of the embedded bolt is generally “L,” which made of steel rod. The diameter and length determined according to the design requirements. Usually, it is φ24 ～ φ64mm. The tightening force of a single bolt can reach 300KN.
2. Column and roof beam
The columns and roof beams of steel structure workshops are generally assembled and welded with hot-rolled H section steel or steel plates. The manufacturing accuracy of the H beam, which made of hot-rolled steel, is easy to control. The columns welded from steel plates need correcting after assembly and welding, which can prevent distortion of H section steel due to welding deformation.
1. Purlin: Purlins made of C-shaped and Z-shaped steel.
The purlins used to support the roof and wall panels and transfer the load from the roof and wall panel to the primary steel frame.
There are roof bracings and wall bracings. The bracings usually made of steel rod, L angle, or square tube. The bracing system uses to stabilize the steel frame.
3. Sag rod
The sag rod is to link between the two purlins to adjust and control the stability of two adjacent purlins. Generally, sag rod made of rod with a diameter of 12 or 14mm.
Roof and wall panels
The walls and roof of the steel workshop building made of color coated metal sheets, and the insulation material can be glass wool.
There are two types of wall and roof panels.
1.Single-layer color metal cladding. The single-layer color metal sheet is a color-formed steel sheet to cold-rolled into various wave-shaped profiles.
The thickness of the metal cladding is around 0.5 / 0.6mm.
The sandwich panel is the polyurethane or rock wool insulated between the two layers of color-coated metal sheet to form the sandwich panel.
The sandwich panel makes the steel structure building warm in winter and cool in summer, and also has the effect of sound insulation and fire prevention.
